We have 3 additional contests that we can run on MFL.

NFL Confidence Pool Pick Em
NFL Survivor Pool
Fantasy Pick Em Pool

Thoughts on playing 1 or all 3 for a prize.  And not thinking monetary but having it relate to the league.  For example I play in another league where we do the Survivor Pool and the winner gets Rookie Pick 1.13.  I think it would be a pretty sweet dynamic to add.  We could have a points system and do all 3 pools and the winner gets a pick in the Rookie Draft (1.13?? But with ability to Taxi?)  Or something. Doesn't need to be a Rookie Pick either, could be anything.

Just looking to add a little spice.

And I can't do things for "Pride".  There needs to be an incentive for people to play Weekly.

I like idea of 1.13 based on survivor poll. cool twist. im all set with the others. with 2 young ones, i cant see putting forth a commendable effort in confidence or pick em polls

I hear you. Most people can wrap their head around a Survivor Pool without having to go too crazy. The confidence pool can be kind of nuts. I know Rybo gets wood doing these for fun.

i won survivor and pick em first year and never got jack ish, so i may vote against this entertainment on principle

I don't really like the idea of this. I enjoy the survivor pools and confidence pools but to attach a pick to it seems a bit much.

I wouldn't say ridiculous.  We had another league of 12 vote in favor of 1.13 unanimously.  So not really that ridiculous if 12 other individuals voted in favor and not a single person said no.  I'm actually surprised you wouldn't want to make it 1.1 given your hard on for these types of things.

But it doesn't need to be 1.13 it was merely a suggestion based on what I've seen work in other leagues.  I just thought it would be a fun way to incorporate it into the league and make the reward something that is worthwhile and that everyone would actually put forth an effort to do.  2.13 could work as well.  Don't think 3.13 would have same impact.

Like you said yourself you won it the 1st year but because nobody gave a shit to do it for pride, need to dangle a carrot.

Well then your other league went for a group labotomy. You said that's why I won it. I say it's because I was so nasty at picks that people figured out they'd never pass me haha.

Ask my wife about the coffee shop regular she met last week. She's an absolute Polish dime piece. She does give a rather nice handy dandy though.

For the rest of the league, the necessary back story is that I stumbled upon a small, cheap coffee shop that's got a bunch of regulars that do a pool for every possible sports event/season. The point that Steve and Keith never get past is that I don't drink coffee. I sit there talking sports while I drink my cranberry juice like a little ten year-old bitch.
