Why is bear's franchise of laurinaitis not showing? I know the quote he posted yesterday was inaccurate (should be 7k), but should still be posted and binding.

actually i was going to TRANSITION him..I franchised Thomas. I was under impression that transition tag for James would be 5k...I'm told it's not. If you remember, the post said 5k. If that's not valid, then neither was my "tag".

If people want to bitch and moan though I'll take him for the 7, even though that wasn't my intention from the start.

I'm cool with that. Thought you had buyer's remorse. Def makes sense now.

Couple of reasons why it was deleted:

#1 it was not a valid post.  I sent Bear a message indicating he needed to be at least 7 if it was to be valid.  Bear then said screw it.

#2 Had it been the other way around...had I not brought it to Bears attention that the post was not valid I'm sure people would say it should not count.

#3 and the reason why it didn't matter to me was that even if he was forced to keep the Tag he could turn around and cut the player at the end of tagging without any ramifications.  So I didn't really think it was a big deal.

I think the time when it is binding for sure is when an owner in the middle of auction asks for a back load in order to clear space only to realize he didn't need it and then try to back out of deal.
